A Lunchtime Excursion

Another sunny, but slightly cool day at the start.  This has been totally amazing weather for over a week.  The nights are cool and the days warm up to around 70 degrees.......and we have had bright sunshine every day.  The weather forecast suggests that things are about to change tomorrow........and the better part of next week may be cloudy and rainy.  There is a weather alert for thunderstorms, wind and rain starting tomorrow afternoon!

Today we had a reservation at Al Covo, a rather well-known, but informal restaurant on a back calle and camp in Castello.  It was a beautiful day for exploring so we made the trip over to San Marco/Zaccheria a bit early to allow some time for wandering.  We headed east out to the Giardini and 'redisovered' Via Garibaldi.......a wonderfully wide street with shops and restaurants.........far enough from San Marco that not as many tourists seem to find it.

Good view showing the distance between the San Marco and San Giorgio campaniles.

The Sea Eagle has been docked for the last five days.  It is owned by a Taiwanese billionare and is the largest aluminum yacht in the world, costing a cool $100M!  240 feet long!
