Two circumstances kept us 'close to home' today. The first is the remoteness of this resort......and the second is the sheer beauty of the facilities and their surroundings. There was absolutely no need to wander off anywhere!
We slept in until about 8:30. Coffee was first on our agenda and we had the same Illy expresso machine in our room that we have at home! No need to search around for instructions.
We explored a bit on our way to breakfast and landed in the dining room just before 10:00. The buffet was huge. The result of such a spread is that we had a hard time restraining ourselves. We won't show a lot of pictures about what actually ended up on our table, but it was probably a bit more than we needed! We ate outside on the Limonaia terrace and the views were mesmerizing.
That required a trip back to the room for recovery......and resting up for a walk on the resort trails around the top of the mountain. We were very careful to avoid the steep climbs and got a map from the front desk to help guide us. It was only about a mile long, but the ups and downs gave us reason to stop fairly often and enjoy the views. Shots below are from both the hike and around the resort in general.
DINNER AND AN ENJOYABLE EVENING!
