Woke to more sunshine and cool temperatures. There may have been a bit of rain last night, but it came while we were sound asleep.......leaving a few puddles on the pavement. We had no significant plans for the day other than to do a small amount of shopping as our food supply was dwindling a bit. We have now managed to go through the first week and a half of our stay in Venice.......with just about that much remaining. Our perspective of time shifts by the day, with the strongest perception being that we have lost track of schedule for the most part and the days wonderfully merge to the extent that we are somewhat 'adrift' here.......which is exactly what we were hoping might happen. No schedules, no commitments and no expectations other than creating our daily explorations. Now as we start to slide into the second half, it is inevitable that reality will start to set in again, but at least will will approach things from a more relaxed state.
